Who we are
Heritage Carat is an independent online jewellery shop at heritagecarat.com. We sell gold jewellery, loose diamonds and loose coloured gemstones, one piece at a time. The shop is operated by Varando LTD. Heritage Carat and heritagecarat.com are not connected to any similarly named brand or company.
What we sell
- Jewellery: rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings, mostly in 14 kt and 18 kt yellow, white and rose gold, many set with diamonds or coloured stones. Titles state the metal and gold purity, and the total carat weight of the stones where relevant.
- Diamonds: loose natural diamonds, most of them round brilliants, described by carat weight, colour grade and clarity grade, often with the name of the laboratory that graded them.
- Gemstones: loose sapphires, emeralds, spinels, tourmalines, peridots and other coloured stones, listed with their carat weight and, where there is one, the laboratory report named in the title.
Every item is an individual, one-off piece. Stock changes often as pieces sell, so what is listed today reflects what is available now.
Natural and lab-grown stones
Some jewellery here is set with natural diamonds and some with lab-grown diamonds. The product title says which. Lab-grown diamonds have the same crystal structure as natural ones but are made in a laboratory, and they are usually priced lower. Check the title and the specification table before you buy.
Where our pieces come from
Our jewellery and stones come from private collections and specialist sources across Europe and beyond. Each piece is described on its own terms: metal, purity, weight, stone type, carat weight and grading details where they are known.
How buying from Heritage Carat works
- Free shipping. Shipping is free on every order, with no delivery charge added at checkout.
- A ship-by date on every product. Each product page shows the date the item ships by, and the same date appears in your basket, at checkout and in your order confirmation. Once your order is on its way, we email you a tracking number. Full details are on our shipping policy page.
- Secure payment. You pay by card at checkout through Stripe. Prices are shown in euros.
- 14-day returns. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you can change your mind and return most orders within 14 days of delivery, no reason needed. By law, items whose price depends on precious-metal or gemstone markets can be excluded from this right; when that applies, the product page says so before you order. Is Heritage Carat the same as other similarly named jewellery brands?
No. Heritage Carat is the independent shop at heritagecarat.com, operated by Varando LTD. It is not connected to any similarly named brand or company.
What do the diamond grades in a title mean?
A title such as "0.80 ct - Round - F - VS2" gives the carat weight, the shape, the colour grade (D is colourless, with later letters showing more colour) and the clarity grade (IF is internally flawless; VS and SI show small inclusions).
How do I know if a diamond is natural or lab-grown?
The product title states it, for example "Diamond (Natural)" or "Diamond (Lab-grown)". The specification table on the product page repeats it where available.
Does shipping cost extra?
No. Shipping is free on every order, and each product page shows the date the item ships by.
